  1. Should we only worship God with our words or also our heart?
  2. Should we listen to pastors who disagree with the Bible?
  3. What should we do when God gives us good things?
  4. Are God’s commands good or bad for you?
  5. Why is Jesus a very good king?
  6. Why is sin compared to prostitution?
  7. Why does unrepentant sin give us ears ready to hear lunatic preachers?
  8. There are some graphic and painful illustrations to speak about how the peoples’ sinful glory will not last (not even to the next generation). How does painful illustration help us to better “evaluate” sinful pleasures and glory?
  9. Israel’s history shows that both poverty and abundance created an opportunity to sin. How does abundance do this and what is the solution in this passage?
  10. How does the Lord turn our idols into shame? Why does He do this? Can you think of examples from Israel’s history, or history outside of the Bible where God has done this?
  11. What does the happy calf of 10:11 teach us about the Law of God?
  12. Israel’s history showed them (and us) that even though God’s law is good, we have no hope of obtaining eternal life by obedience to it. How does Jesus fulfill the first and last verses of chapter 10?
