"You shall not murder" Instead of unrighteously taking innocent life, Jesus gives life to guilty people by taking the death they deserved. Because of His obedience to this command, He was raised back to life by God the Father destroying death's power over all who believe in Him. We all find ourselves guilty of breaking this commandment by devaluing the lives and worth of those God has made in His image. Jesus took the record and curse of those sins for all who believe in Him. Those who truly believe in Him will, no doubt, be led by Jesus to have the same care for the lives of others without regard to their perceived value to us.
