  2. What were Jesus’ two answers?
  3. Where did Jesus find the answers to this question?
  4. What is special about these two commands that teaches us that there are no unimportant command of God?
  5. What would we say to someone who says that sometimes you need to choose between loving someone and obeying God?
  6. How does tying the commandments to love and the heart, actually make the standard higher?
  7. Why would Jesus tell this wise, sincere man that he is near to the Kingdom of God - instead of in it?
  8. How does this passage teach us about the need for the “New Birth” or “being born again” or regeneration?
  9. How are the ways that Jesus fulfill the law for those who belong to him?
  10. What would you tell someone who said he was a Christian but did not want to follow God’s laws? How would you try to change his mind?
  11. “Love your neighbour as yourself” is a big command with many necessary applications. What is the application of this law which is found along with it in Leviticus? How has this been difficult for you to obey? How has this caused you pain?
