  1. Go back and read v59:9-13. How do vv14-21 relate to that prior passage? (Note vv16, 20)
  2. We hear about God “wondering” or marvelling at the state of Judah?  What does this say about Judah’s own feelings about their sin?
  3. What is God’s response to His people failing to produce even one qualified intercessor? Where will He find someone able to perform this task?
  4. What are we meant to feel as we read about the armour of the messiah?
  5. What do the articles of armour the Messiah wears signify? How do they relate to Paul’s “armour of God” in Ephesians 6?
  6. What is the response of the nations to the conquest of the Messiah?
  7. How will Zion’s redemption come about alongside the conquering?
  8. What makes Jesus particularly qualified to fulfill the role of intercessor / conqueror / redeemer?
