  2. How do we know that David was God's anointed?
  3. Did Saul loose his salvation or did he loose something else?
  4. If Jesus is our shepherd, and we his sheep, what does that tell us about what we add to our salvation?
  5. What does the permanence of David's anointing mean for us if Jesus' role as our Shepherd is a fulfillment of this? What does that do for our confidence?
  6. How would you respond to someone who claims that this passage is one that gives us confidence in what we can do with God's strength?
  7. Since Jesus is the Son of David who fulfills David's messiahship, how would we respond if we were His sheep?
