  1. What major difference does Jesus want us to see between treasures in earth and treasures in heaven?

  2. If this is a question of simple math, it is clear we should store up all our treasure in heaven. Why do so many, even who call themselves Christians, still focus most of their energy on the treasures of this earth?

  3. What does Jesus mean when he says “the eye is the lamp of the body” which can fill our whole body with light or darkness?

  4. What things do you desire most? 

  5. What is the image of the servant and master meant to convey? What common conception of human life and faith is it meant to correct?

  6. What are particularly temptations in your life that would draw you to store up treasure on earth rather than on heaven?

  7. What does your schedule and your budget say about where you are storing up treasure?

  8. Are there any ways that you see yourself trying to serve two masters at once?
