Deuteronomy 5:12-15

The Sabbath was the way that the Children of Israel recognized the Lord's work; they rested in what He did as opposed to what they do.  We have an even greater 'work of God' - the 'work' needed to be reconciled to God was done by Jesus for once and for all.  We celebrate the ultimate Sabbath by rejoicing in the fact that Christ completed the work for our salvation on the Cross when He died in our place and was raised back to life on the third day.  Jesus is our Sabbath.
